I am perfectly fine with this. I've never understood the hype with the ridiculously unrefined Dark Souls PvP. Though I'm not sure I'm sold on the game as a whole yet. I may be about Soulsbourned (Soulsburned?) out. I feel the same way about Code Vein.
By far the game I was most blown away by at this year's E3. I kept thinking it had transitioned into a cut scene. Such a massive step up from their pretty mediocre but still entertaining combat in previous games that I didn't think was possible from Naughty Dog.
Don't worry. I'm sure ditching the single player for a "much more robust multiplayer" means they won't have a $50-60 season pass this time around, right?
@Mogan: For everyone going crazy thinking I'm telling you what to play. Incorrect. Put your pitchforks away. I encourage fun and I hope this game turns out that way. This was more of directing the attention of an MMO that wipes all your progress every 3 years. I have stated elsewhere I want the game to succeed and I may even get it eventually. Way, way down the line most likely.
It's crazy to me how many people are ready to throw away 3 years worth of work for this sequel to an "MMO" only to more than likely do it again in 3 more years with Destiny 3. Especially when you're spending upwards of $200 to do it if you constantly want to jump into the content asap. I'd say don't let them get away with this again but is anyone really listening anymore?
I get the feeling that, even with all this "not falling for this again" attitude, I'll still see a majority of my friends on this game on launch day. I'll stick with the blah blah blah unannounced version a year and a half down the line when it's $20. Even that's a maybe. I don't even want this to fail but they're telling us what we want to hear so pretty damn skeptical.
