Wow, this whole dashboard update thing has many peoples feathers ruffled. I know that change can be difficult for some folks. Especially when there was absolutely nothing wrong with what is being changed. I can see that so far the numbers are speaking for themselves as the pole shows two thirds of the people responding say they will use the avatars if given a choice. I happen to agree, for more than one reason. First the avatars are merely part of a package that involves some pretty awesome capabilities and second I think that avatars give a greater degree of personalization than the gamerpics. Speaking of which I keep hearing people worried about what is going to happen to the ones that they paid for as well as not liking the idea of having to possibly pay for modifications for they're avatar. I don't see that as a problem either way because if you buy gamerpics it is essentially the same as buying items to modify your avatar and on that same note I have bought gamerpics a couple of times but I don't use the same one forever, I get new ones and the old ones just sit there some end up being deleted. Any way I don't want to keep rambling on, its clear that people have strong feelings regarding this focusing on the darn avatars and overlooking the major improvements being made to the on-line experience. Its a pity.

By the way is it just me or does the new dashboard look like a mix between PS3 XMB and Windows Vista.
