I have to agree with the paying for quality thing.

But there is another important aspect, value for money.

Yes you PC is expensive for an initial purchase compared to a PC.  However, if you up grade it the upgrades will be cheaper than the constant rush to buy the new console.

Also remember that with online gaming you get a lot more BANG for your buck compared to having an Xbox live account.

Plus you're starting to see a lot more of the FREE online games like Pangya with proper support.

Take goa.com in Europe, or OG planet and Gpotato in the States.
