The nintendo that we grew up with is no longer the same nintendo we see today. There main focus is appealing to people who dont regularly game, i.e the non gamer (heck ms is starting to go all casual because of how much succes ninty had). sure theyll released a few quality titles but the nintendo of old is long gone. Dont believe me? check out both commercials and tell me one isnt casualized to fit a non gamer:

Nintendo consoles are mainly used by family and younger kids. Too have an online system similiar to that of xbl/psn is doubtful. Heres a quote from ninty themselves:

Sadly it won when you look at the sales. After the abysmal showing of the wii, never in gods name am i going near another nintendo console (and ive owned every console minus the vb). The wii was the least most played console ive ever owned. Maybe it was the hd twins spoiling me or me just simply out growing nintendo. As usual, IMO before any fanboys throw a fit.
