The big problem with the PS3 (just like Xbox 360) is that it's not backwards compatible with PS1 and PS2 games unless Sony release emulation software and put it on the backwards compatibility list Unfortunately FFVII doesn't seem to appear on the current list, so doesn't seem to be any point making it available for download...
