It depends on your taste in music..I would say Guitar Hero 2 has by far the better soundtrack..the music in GH3 goes farther towards the harder rock side

Also, guitar hero 2 is made by the original developers while guitar hero 3 was handed over to a different group..in my opinion, Harmonix nailed the formula in guitar hero 2..it's still quite challenging, but also fun to play.

I have beaten GH3 on expert, and I noticed something different this time around..The songs aren't fun to play..they stick less to the formula of the song, and just throw a ton of notes at you..in the previous guitar hero games, it felt more like I was actually playing the guitar tracks..I will stress that, if you want to have more fun playing, especially if you're new to the games, Guitar Hero 2 is the better choice

I would also recommend rock band over every guitar hero, if you can afford it

I know there are a ton of the "Which game should I get" topics floating around, so I apologize..

I have had a 360 since launch but have only recently started playing again..The last new game I had was Oblivion..I almost turned it on today, but I'm afraid it will suck my life away again, so I need a new game to keep me from turning that one on.

I have rock band, and that's why I started playing the 360 again..I'm ready for a good standard gaming experience, and I've narrowed it down to these three games..

I've heard a lot of hate thrown at assassin's creed, but for some reason, I can't take it off of my list..something tells me I would really get into this game...I've heard comparisson's to Shadow of the Colossus, and I'm nearly certain that's my favorite game of all time...the visuals really impressed me...It seems like I would love to just meaner around the cities and jump rooftop to rooftop and see what's going on around me..

Mass Effect..I was nearly sure this was the game I was getting yesterday..I'm an rpg fan..love Oblivion..thought highly of KotOR..played through and beaten most of the Final Fantasies, but something's stopping me from committing to it...I think it's the SciFi Element..not too keen on sci fi stuff..hard to get into at least...does the sci fi element of the game allow for people who aren't as into that aspect to get into the game?

Bioshock..just added to my list..I'm not so sure I want another straight up shooter...I thinK i've had my fill for a while, but everyone says this game is incredible, and that the biggest incentive to play this game is the atmosphere...

I need a game that will last me a while..something that I could play an hour here and there..not necessarily have to sit down for a half a day at a time...and something I might enjoy going through a few times...

Also, fun achievements are preferred..all that in mind, which would you recommend?

I think Mario Galaxy is definitely visually superior, but I'm not entirely convinced it's because of the wii.

More likely, I think, is the concept...small clusters of planets...set in vastness of space...mario galaxy often operates on groups of small planets which allows rendering power to be focused on small areas rather than having to worry about vast worlds all the time.

I've noticed some of the most visually impressive spots on galaxy come during these little planet fly-throughs.

Having said that..it doesn't really matter..what matters is that it was well done..

It's actually a little exciting to think about how mario galaxy is such a step forward in gaming..even down to the concept working in combination with the hardware to allow for this visual step up..nintendo are finding ways to stay competitive with the limitations of the hardware..that's how progress is made..innovation..

These concepts can be studied and improved upon and everything is better for it

I have had it since launch, and haven't beaten it...I have trouble with games where i get busy and then I try and come back and I've forgotten a lot of what I had played through, so i have to start over...rinse, repeat

I had the first disc of Final Fantasy 7 memorized because I had to go through it so many times before that game finally went down..it's the same with twilight princess..I beat wind waker when it came out, and I like this one a lot more...very reminiscent of ocarina of time, and that was one of my all time favorites when it was released..

Maybe it's just getting older and switching priorities or something...it's getting harder to get games done...

Having said that though...75 stars into mario galaxy after a few days...I'm feeling like I felt when mario 64 first came out..wonderful game

I haven't played either titles, but I imagine that one of the reasons that we all got the wii was to experience ultimate control..

As soon as nintendo unveiled the controller, I thought "wow, this is completely ideal for a first person shooter." All of the reviews I have seen basically indicate that Medal of Honor is the best controlling game to be released on the wii thusfar...

I guess it depends on what you want to get out of nintendo's system, but I have a feeling that Medal of Honor is a must play game..and if I talk about it anymore, I will be going to gamestop tomorrow and spending money I don't have, hah.

Yeah, I just got manhunt 2, and I'm extremely disappointed in it thus far. I was hoping to have it done by the time mario got here.

While I have enjoyed zack and wiki, I'm wondering what sort of replay value it's going to have once it's done. I'm probably 75% through with that one...

I'm thinking those are both candidates...Also, I haven't touched Elebits since I got it, but it feels like a game that works really well to show what the wii is capable of

I haven't finished Paper Mario because I just haven't gotten into it...the scenes in between games are sooo text heavy and the story is so out there and random that it gets boring to have to get through

So, I'm a little tight on money this fall, but I can't pass up galaxy, so I've got to find a way.

I've got 9 games for the wii, and I don't really play it that often, so I'm thinking of trading a few in for mario.

Here's the list: Red Steel, Paper Mario, Zack and Wiki, Manhunt 2, Zelda: Twighlight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Elebits, SSX, Resident Evil 4

Which would you get rid of to help the Mario Galaxy cause?
