In order to make sure, you can say "repairs" first thing, make sure your for xbox 360, and it will ask for the phone number registered to the account. Give it the phone number, and it will tell you for sure if there's no status.

If you call the customer service line, which I believe is 18004MYXBOX, from the original phone and phone number you have registered to your account, then the first thing the machine will say is your repair status. If it doesn't say any repair status, then yours has prolly been finished and is being sent to you.

I really wish people who post about getting their xbox would post when the mailed their box in and with what problem. That would help me figure out if I will get my box back before Halo 4 comes out :*(Sauceomsauce

I sent mine in around the 15th of september. Got it back yesterday.

I just got my 360 back. Or should I say, my 360 wasn't fixable so they sent me a BRAND NEW ONE. By brand new I mean just off the manufacturing line - the factory date on it is September 19th 2007!

[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"]

[QUOTE="teebeenz"][QUOTE="laxinsax87"]So, after a few weeks of wait, I finally got my 360 back from repairs. I had heard horror stories about xbox's being returned to customers that weren't their original consoles, but instead were old refurbished consoles from 2005, the height of system failures. When I opened my box I found a note saying that the serial number on this console was different then my original and they were "sorry for the inconvenience." However, upon looking at the manufacturers date on the console, it says it was built september 19th of 2007! Anyone else think it's awesome that they sent me a brand new console?Futien

Its quicker to send new units than to fix older units, they're saving time and money by sending a new one. Has nothing to do with customer service, they're just trying to save a buck or two.

That may be true, but it's still good customer service.

btw you only get a brand new console if yours was deemed "unfixable" ... did you drop it off your roof or something?

Nope, Just got the standard three red lights of doom like everyone else. And no, sadly it wasn't a HDMI model...I don't think. I guess I haven't checked, but I highly doubt it.
