IMHO, Fallout 1 and 2 are FAR better than Fallout 3. They're just classics. This climate, long gameplay, quests, lots of ways of playing... Old graphics just doesn't count now. And the sound of Pancor Jackhammer or Bozar ripping guts out of enemies... Ahhhh. ^^

[QUOTE="Kleeyook"][ I can't be sure until I buy the new Windows to play my games, and it'll be useless if i can't get it work. Also, I believe Windows 7 is one-time use, does that mean I can't install it on another PC if I want to change my PC?

Ya, I think win7 is one-time use. Pitty of that. You can install it on only one PC (which is totally bullsh*t for me).

Yeah, but let's get to the point. IMHO we can't say which game is the best on the platform. We can only divide it to different genres and choose the best game in each. I'm going to do that now (but it's still veeeery hard to choose the best games at all ;)). FPS: Half-Life 2, because there's no more climatic and more epic FPS than this one. RTS: StarCraft, because there's no better balanced RTS. Turn-based strategy: HOM&M III, because there's no more addictive game than this. cRPG: Baldur's Gate II, because there's no more epic game in the whole world. Hack'n'slash: Diablo II, because its simplicity is its best side. (I usually divide RPG to cRPG and H&S, 'cause they are totally different games for me). MMORPG: World of WarCraft, because.... sh*t, it's just the best way to spend your free time! Logic: The Incredible Machine, do you remember this frustrating masterpiece? :) Realistic racers: Colin McRae Rally 02, it's just classic, I've never played better racer than this. Arcade racers: NFS: Underground 2, because it's rather complex and very addictive.

Best: Fallout 3

Worst: Any pc game made before 1998.GenericUser12
What about Wolfenstein 3d, Doom, Hexen, Quake, Fallout, Dune 2, Warcraft 2 and whole lotta classic games? These were great ones and, unfortunately, none of the newest games can be any better than any of these. I suggest to concentrate on games' history. ^^ Anyway, Fallout 3 < Fallout 2.

Try installing Vista compatibility fix, this might help you. Anyway, I suggest updating to win7 which is FAR better than this Vista sh*t and, as far as I know, most older games run on 7.
