I'm a big fan of the guitar hero games, because it seems like it's one in a handful (a hobbits hand.. can you tell i enjoy the lotr series too?) of games that actually require practice and skill to beat. I'm not saying other games are like that, but this is a longer learning curve. This of course discourages some people not up for a challenge, but i say bring it on. I await "Rock Band" which includes an accoustic, base, drums, and microphone. It seems like an awesome game, but will probably quite expensive. I would also prefer it if it came out on the PS2 which i own instead of the next-gen PS3 and Xbox 360. The online features on all of the next-gen consoles are beginning to overtake the computer online. Of course, you cant beat the MMORPG's like Shadows of Angmar or WOW. What I find as dissapointing as Rock Band only coming out on the next-gen is the extra monthly costs for the MMORPG's ranging from 10 to 15 dollars. I believe the one time payment for Shadows is an ingenious idea for extreme player.. but shelling out 50 dollars for the game and 200 for unlimited play.. that's quite a ripoff! If you're willing to shell out some of that dough and empty your pockets good for you.
