This coffin is for.. my PlayStation 3.
Today as I was watching a movie, it shut off unexpectedly. And the light didnt even flash or anything like usual, and it didnt even make a beep. It just shut off, from green to nothing. i pressed the power button again, and it came on for about 3 secs, but then beeped three times and the light turned.. yellow, then began flashing red.
Called Sony support, said there was excessive heat issues within the console, and from there it was officially pronounced dead. In even worse news, it was discovered my model was purchased by myself in January of 2007, meaning my warranty was now two months out. A $150 out-of-warranty replacement is now in effect. I hear that now, there are longer extended warranties available from retailers, which I will purchase hopefully.
My friend says: Why waste your money on a new PS3 when you can just buy a 360? to which i reply.. hell no! PS3 #1 (who will now be referred to as Julie) was too precious in my heart for me to betray her. She held out through me playing "Through the Fire And The Flames" in practice mode terribly on expert 8 times through in a row. She held out as I team killed everyone in COD3. She held out as I spent hours and hours on end ranking up on COD4. And now.. she's.. GONE!:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:.
Alright, im not seriously crying. Here's the story, short version: PS3 broke, out of warranty, $150 to replace it, the money was transferred, and the box is on its way, i'll be back online in about 2 and a half weeks, by which time I will not want to play COD4 really ever again because i'll have gotten terrible at it by then. But then I will get RSV2!
