True, the format war looked like n easy win. Trojan horse strategy + Warner Bros bribery = war over.

That's another reason some people hate Sony, the whole "future-proof" thing. A lot of people want everything NOW! They don't wanna wait. The waiting's over though, 2008 has been a much better year for the PS3 than 2007 was, must be at least twice the amount of exclusive games.

Exactly as i said that this thing has been discussed alot on other more "mature" forums.And no one expeceted PS3 to take over in the start.It was just a waiting which is finally over now.Our main icon was KZ2 :).Not far away from now.

Hey, I like the Blu-Ray, I consider it to be a positive. And I also consider the PS3 to be terrific value. But you can't buy a PS3 without getting Blu-Ray and some people don't like that. Sony forced Blu-Ray on people the same way they forced DVD on people last gen. You and I may like it but some don't, simple as that. Floppy_Jim

Dude this thing has been discussed at more "mature" forums.Aparently the two reasons with which most of the people came out were :

1)Sony doesnt want to win the format war rite now.But its always good to arm the soldiers with weapons before the war starts so that when the war actually takes off,all they have to do is provide the bullets :).The result,an easy win.

2)sony aimed the console for FUTURE i.e. 2008-2013 not for the present.

There are a lot of people from the USA on this forum and Microsoft are an American company. That's why you see a lot of fanboys and even a lot of people with high levels and postcounts always side with Microsoft instead of Sony. And of course, there's the $600 price tag and forced Blu-Ray which pissed off a lotta people.Floppy_Jim
