Story here:

In a shocking turn of events, reports are emerging that Phil Spencer, the current head of Xbox at Microsoft, has been fired from his position. According to sources close to the company, Spencer was let go earlier this morning after a string of disappointing sales figures and a decline in market share.

Spencer, who had been with Microsoft for over two decades, was a beloved figure in the gaming industry and had been instrumental in leading the Xbox division to new heights in recent years. Under his leadership, the company had made significant investments in new technology and acquired a number of studios to create exclusive content for its platforms.

However, recent data had shown a decline in sales for the Xbox Series X/S consoles, and Spencer had reportedly come under intense pressure to turn things around. Despite his efforts, it appears that the company's leadership had lost confidence in his ability to lead the Xbox division to success.

The news of Spencer's departure has sent shockwaves through the gaming community, with many fans expressing their disappointment and sadness at the loss of such an iconic figure in the industry. Some have even speculated that his firing could lead to a shake-up in the wider gaming industry, with other companies potentially making moves to acquire him for their own leadership teams.

At this time, it is unclear who will replace Spencer as head of Xbox, or what his next move will be. However, one thing is for certain – his contributions to the gaming industry will not be forgotten any time soon.

Will Xbox recover?

Will Microsoft and Xbox recover? I'm not sure why you think they won't.

While Phil Spencer is a legend, I think he has become stagnant, and Microsoft's gaming division needs some fresh air.

I’m going to go with Sega. I love how they used to take risks and they weren’t afraid to publish games that were out there or for more mature audiences. Wish they were more like that now. Also like how they bought companies like Atlus, Creative Assembly, and Relic. So for my all time list, I choose Sega. How about you, SW?Your all time favorite gaming company, if you could only choose one?

In terms of time spent and enjoyment, Rockstar and Firaxis Games stand out for me as two exceptional developers. Rockstar's attention to detail is unmatched, with no other game coming close in terms of depth and intricacy. Firaxis games because of the time and enjoyment in Civ.

Can't think of anyone, Ellie has won my heart for her bravery and badass attitude (TLOU Video game and Drama series).

She saw everything and did unimaginable things for survival no one could do by 19

Well?

Hmm, Clementine wins my heart.

She grew into such a powerful awesome character.

There are some older games that only have physical copies that I would like, like Skies of Arcadia on the Dreamcast, but these games are selling for close to £100 second hand on ebay. So even though I used to prefer physical games to digital, that's changing. I realise with all these digital stores, they are keeping prices competitive. If there is a very old game available in digital format, I find sellers on ebay who are selling the physical version can't extort buyers with ridiculously high prices. With digital games, the supply is endless and will always meet the demand for the game.

Also look at all those old classic PC games selling on steam. There's no way I could have played games like Half-Life, Thief etc if they were only available physically as their prices would have been too high. Thank you digital!

Do you guys agree that digital games has reduced the price of gaming?

Yes and no, it all depends on when and where you "buy" the game.

It is weird to say that it is slim when it requires a radiator that is double the size of the original unit.

Ya, I do agree there. The cooling makes it not so slim, but still, a cool video and the design is awesome except for the cooling, bet he could make that a lot more streamlined.

Also, he manages to break one ps5 /tears

This gen is so pathetic that we're at a point of claiming ownage over some indie game with a cat. Let that sink in.

Ya. there have been zero reasons so far to get the next-gen console, no games at all really make you want that switch.

the ps5 hardware alone makes you want to get a next gen system.

i used my ps4 the other day and its a slow jet engine.

I feel bad for those that are still on that system.

ps5 is quiet and runs so smooth. also has ps5 and ps4 games.

if hardware does not count then I guess updating pc is pointless.

Maybe, for me, though the hardware alone is not worth it.

I have a Ps4 Pro and ya sometimes it sounds like a freaking jet engine but the games are still good.

Also PS5 is not that easy to get a hold off :)
