I bought this deal and never got to use it as there is no code to be redeemed, no instructions as how to use it, I haven never even received an order or track number.
My money just went somewhere and neither Gamestop nor Degoo have given me any explanation as to what happened. Also, neither Gamestop nor Degoo have returned my contacts or even replied to my messages.
do even have any clue on how the economy works? cutting off the "middle man" is just killing jobs and stop earning taxes to the state.
Gamestop, Best Buy, whatever, they're there for a purpose. They take the products to millions of people that the devs would NEVER reach. They give devs the market they need.
People don't go out making games for themselves, mate, they need costumers, and that's what the "middle man" you seem to hate offers.
That corporate suit placing a 3rd gold plated garage next to his home is just putting his works results to use, and he's absolutely right in doing so. I mean, you think devs aren't doing that?
So try and remember that the next time you turn on the hate machine to the ones that sold YOU your beloved games.
If I buy a car and sell it, I don't see volkswagen, or honda, or dodge crying over it. When I sell my house I don't see the construction company sending away their employees. I don't see why developers wine so much about it.
Once the product is sold, its property rights go with it (obviously), and the owner has the right to do with it whatever he wants. It's kind of embarrassing that baby talk from the producers: mimimimi they're making money and I'm not mimimimi I created the game not them mimimimimi I have employees to pay mimimi used games are killing the industry!
Why will the gaming industry die from used games and every single other industry won't? They DO have their DLC stuff don't they? well, buddy, start making dlcs that matter, not just ripoffs.
Suck it up developers, I bought it, it's mine, I can play it, sell it, trade it, burn it, feed it to the dog, do whatever I want with it, just like I can do whatever I want with any other property I BOUGHT.
If the future consoles block used games, then they'll have to stop SELLING and start RENTING it to the consumers.
The thing is, gaming industry has to start thinking the same way as every other industry out there. It's money on the streets, mates, the money has to flow, a game on the shelf is money on the shelf.
