Right, this is my first ever double-blog concerning two things. The first concerning our beloved Square, and second about the Devil alias new leaf a.k.a as cousin.

PART ONE: A SQUARE MEAL OF RUMORS

I don't know if this is a bit late to tell but there are rumors AND yes, they are only rumours that Square Enix is planning to change their business model. In other words, they are turning their attention towards making remakes, spin-offs, sequels, ports and stuff.

I read this in many places on the Web like Joystiq, Destructoid, DailyGaming, and on even one of the reviewers of 1UP.com profile page.  This might not be much of news to us, the Square fans who for past one year or so, know that Square's attention has been on remakes.:question:

They said that this was apparently, to reduce the overhead costs on the development and R&D teams which had risen to an alarming number since FFXII production. They also said that NES or SNES ports onto GBA had sold so well that they even toppled a number of newer games in the sales charts. Even, those who had played the original bought them. Me, for example(FFIV)8)

They also said they would be planning on making sequels of popular games. A PIECE OF Rumour even goes saying that Square might be planning on a certain Final Fantasy VIII-2. Now, even Square fans like me know WHAT could happen when Square attempts in making a sequel of an FF game.

For example, look at FFX-2 for example. Sure, it was a great game but fans of the original thought that FFX should have been left alone, instead of making a sequel.

Now, my reaction despite my affection to FFVIII was um....confused:question:. I didn't know to be happy or not. It could be a disgrace to the original but on the other hand a HUGE asset if it turned out to be great. 

This is my thoughts. I would like to know your thoughts FF fans or not on this. AND REMEMBER IT'S ONLY A RUMOR!!! Nothing is confirmed officialy by Square but the possibily is interesting.

PART TWO: SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL.

My cousin and I along with our mothers went to a nearby mall. I bought a long awaited game on GBA, Castlevania: Circle of the Moon! It got 9.6 from GS, a collection of Ripley's Believe it Or Not!!!

My cousin being a Sony fanboy decided to buy a....(At this stage, I hoped it was PSP as then we could play through Ad-Hoc!) BUT NO!! He bought a NINTENDO DS!!!!!!!! 

And then to sprinkle salt on my wound, he bought Final Fantasy III:evil:  , Nintendogs and Mario Kart!

Later, we played Diablo 2: LoD (Multiplayer) and we beat the hell out of Diablo together. Then, we went to a Game center and hooked onto two 360's to play Gears of War. I won beating the bloody h ell out of him.

Then at 4 pm, it was the time for Devil's departure( He prepared to leave at home).

He: I am glad we sorted out our stupid fights!

Me*grinning*: Yeah!

He: So uh...enjoy playing FFVII! I am pretty sad I wasn't there to kick Sephiroth's butt! I wonder what happened at the end...*ending sadly*

I don't know but I become suddenly all emotional, and then I took a decision. I went to my game's corner(place where I keep my games).

He: What are you doing?

Me: Here..take this and don't you dare say NO! Coz if you do I will thrash you beyond recognition.

He:.......

Without a word, he bid farewell saying only a soft Thanks to me! It was enough I guess.

And if you haven't figured it yet, I gave him the 3CD pack of Final Fantasy VII. A sacrifice! A charity!

Now, 6 hours after he went, I am regretting my charity. Now I won't be able to play FFVII for months.:cry:

I want all of you to say in Unison that I am a fool! But I feel somewhere inside me that I was right in doing what I did!
