Also, when I "install" a game onto the hard drive, do I still need the Blu-Ray disc to start it up or I can just choose from the menu? I don't really like to swap discs in and out, kinda wears them out and they get scratched and stuff :c

Yep you are going to have to put in the Game disc every time you want to play your game, watch a bu-ray etc.
I've used some of the texture mods and it was just a matter of putting the files in the override.

does this work with the ultimate edition as well? because i have aces high res mod, and i get the override folder, I then put it in the packages//////core. but nothing changes, i restart the game, and its still the vanilla textures.
No idea, don't know why it would be any different as the ultimate just has the DLC and expansion in it. All of the game content should be modded from the override folder.
I do have the steam version on a Win7 machine, obviously something is wrong on my end since there are many people who seem to be able to use it. will continue to try to make it work!
