Working slowly through Dragon Age Inquisition on my Xbox One. On PC I've been playing The Binding of Isaac. I forgot how much I love this game.

The original is the better option. A lot of the games on the original Xbox (or at least the ones I had) weren't compatible with the 360, and the ones that were, most ran like absolute crap.

There has always been franchises that get sequelized a lot. Since you mentioned two, I'll mention two.

Final Fantasy? Mega Man? How many games were in those series during the 90's/2000's?

Gaming has never been better. Nostalgia is sometimes not a good thing. Also as others have said, don't buy those games if you don't want to play them. There's plenty of other options, and indie games as well.

I'm playing through the Master Chief Collection. I'm making progress through Halo 1 right now. I haven't had much time lately to play though.

Well reviews are just one person's experience with a game. I've never understood why people throw fits over reviews. Apparently that reviewer didn't like or liked a game more than you do, if you've played it.

I myself don't read reviews to gauge whether or not I should get it. I just find them interesting. I go into games with an open mind, and usually I end up liking them a lot. I honestly can't remember the last game I've just downright not liked at all.
