So the moment Pokemon Pearl and Diamond come out, my friend and I zip to the nearest Best Buy, I blow my gift card from Christmas on Diamond (reason? the case was more visually pleasing - she picked up Pearl), and we park our lazy butts in the mall food court and start up a new addiction. I'm 50 hours in, on my way to the Elite Four, and have remembered exactly why I love these games. They're fun, they let my obsessive-compulsive desire to collect things run wild, and the Pokemans are cute (I won't lie). So that's been my life for the past few weeks. The new generation of Pokemon are fun and interesting, the fact that all previous generations are available in one way or another makes it ten times better than Ruby already, and the familiar turn-based battle system makes things easy to breeze your way through. So far I've made it without much trouble: it's not terribly difficult, they finally give you a wide base of types right off the bat - although the lack of Fire types is insanely frustrating - and Empoleon is awesome (he is, honestly).

So the conclusion of this rant? Go buy it, especially if you loved the other games and have that desire to collect things like I do. It's fun, and you won't regret it.
