on a side note, i think you and i both know how dumb some people could be. for instance, some people still run under trees for cover during lightning storms.

anyway... i have put my xbox 360 in the freezer many times, not for too long. it's basically broken anyway, but when i do that, it starts working again. i don't care if you guys think it's stupid, it's the only thing that keeps it working.

and no, i cannot ship it back to microsoft because i bought it used and it was already registered.

my xbox 360 gets the three rrod (the day i got GTA IV)

I tried the towel trick... didn't work.

my roommate has an original xbox that had the same problem, so to get it to work, we would put it in the freezer for 15 minutes. it would work everytime we tried it.

needless to say, i tried the same thing on my xbox 360 and the result: if i leave it in for 15 minutes, i can get the thing working again. i would have sent the xbox in but i bought it used off craigslist and the dumbass registered it already, so now i cannot.

by the way, i'm not advising anyone to put their console in the freezer, just letting you all know that it worked for me. i'm not sure if your location matters either (high humidity locale vs. low humidity, I'm in boston and it gets pretty nasty here during the summer).
