Here are my specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.7 GHz Nvidia 8800 GTS 640 mb 2GB DDR2 SDRAM PC2 6400 320 GB 7200 rpm harddrive Gigabyte ATX Intel mobo Vista 32-bit I built this system specifically for the fall lineup, and with the expectation that it would handle Crysis well. It absolutely dominates COD4 (there are obviously differences in graphical level, i know). With Crysis, I was a bit dissapointed with the performance, but its still definitely sufficient. To me, there isn't enough of a difference between High and Very High to warrant the drop in FPS on Very High. If you look at these comparison screenshots (which are largely useless because every other setting besides the one being analyzed is on Very High), you can see that for most of the settings, Very High adds little to no difference. There are two settings, to me, that provide the biggest graphical difference betwen High and Very High- Shaders and Post Processing. On Very High, they make the game look ridiculouis. I think the Very High setting is more meant for the future. Right now, I think we should all aspire to play on everything High. I'm rolling with that, and its still the best looking game I've ever played (at 1280x768 res.). I get around 30 FPS, give or take a few depending on the area.
