This is my first blog so humor me...

I bought a 360 around a year ago. Overall I enjoy the console when its not busy locking up. I bought the console just to play Oblivion (I am a RPG guy and this is my next rant). About 6 months ago a friend of mine convinced me to buy Gears of War. I was skeptical since the last shooter I played was Doom. After 6 hours 1 night of 2 player co-op action I was hooked. Once a week, it was me and about 6 other guys in our HT room playing Gears. The problem was you had 2 swap controllers once you died. Once we got good at not being dead, you didn't play for long stretches of time. So we went looking for other shooters....and here we come to my rant.

Since I live by the speed of dial up, I don't game online. I CANNOT be alone in this. So I ask this question...

Why can't some game company make a true 4 player game? I own Halo 2, Call of Duty 3, Ghost Recon 1, Gears and Rainbow 6 Vegas. All of them are solid shooters, but why can you not run through the story with 4 players on the same console? The best shooter for that is Ghost Recon. But when you don't have hi speed internet, it limits your game play optoins. I want a game that has the intensity of Gears, the realism of GRAW 2 and Vegas, with the 4 player options similar to GRAW 1 (closest to what I am looking for) with more options? And I want it on a next gen console and longer than 4 hours to play through....I understand the this may limit the options of the story, but I would at least like somebody to give it a shot.
