a long story short is that their are negligible increases in graphics in the 360 version that they are both equal it's like the xbox vs the ps2, they look virtually the same merely a knit picking old granny would complain about such subtle differences in games that are identical
for the ps3 gamer who brags about memory of the blu ray, i laugh at the way increased memory of the internal components of the 360 over the ps3 which is all that matters
yeah for everyone who is saying "omg the ps3 has major potential", we are forgetting something the 360 is far from maxed out and has potential as well. if they are maxing out the ps2 to look like early 360 games still imagine how much life the 360's hardware has, A LOT all i know is 512mb of dedicated ram for the 360 is better than the 256mb ram for the ps3 so logically the 360 pwns in theory and one day that will haunt the ps3.
the_pc_gamer you need to get more IRL friends and try some local multiplayer and stop being a loner with your zero splitscreen pc gamming, i just prefer being able to game on halo 3 with 4 of my friends present rather than wait 2 yrs for the pc port to play with myself microsoft realised ppl are getting sick of pc gaming cause of all the technical jargon and frustartions associated with pc gamming so they releaseda console with gamming pc standards. no splitcreen multiplayer eh?
pc is 1% better than console graphics at best, just knit picky crap is better like 2 meter further draw distances etc, for the price diff of $1500, i think the console looks nicer and is smarter to get, as well, i'll already be enjoying my maxe out settings on console while ur 40 mins away from playing your game on pc cause of installing and patching
ok what the ps3 does is the gpu gets overwhelmed by the cpu and the gpu "blurs" the image as a result because it can't handle what the cpu dishes out. the images on the 360 are crisper which can reveal more flaws, but they exist in the ps3 as well except they are washed out, but as a result even the good textures are washed out making the 360 as whole revealing the best overall image with crips good intended textures even if 5% of the image has edges and what not that look sharper just as a result of better clarity
ok the thing is gta 4 may look better on the ps3 as the only game, but this is the developers issue not the hardware. why???? because this is GTA4 we are talking about!!! it isn't even a contender as best graphics in a game compared to other crap out like cod 4, graw 2 and things with decent character models. the 360 can do much better than what they did with gta4 same with the ps3, it is a software issue not a hardware issue for that game if u can get games looking like cod 4 compared to gta4 which is reletively worse
