You are an analyst. Lots of websites have already released their analysis of Skyward Sword, but you haven't yet. And everybody praises how the game controls -they did even before the game was released-..., except of you. In fact, you think it doesn't work and you write your analysis taking that in big consideration.
But people keep praising the games controls. What would you do?
a) I would think my controller or my sensor bar have a problem.
b) I would ask a fellow analyst why he thinks game controls work so well.
c) I would buy new batteries.
d) I would keep on and publish my analysis ignoring everybody else." I can't be wrong, the rest of the world is. As I always thought, motion controls are crap".
Problem is Tom chose option d, and after releasing the analysis some fellow analist probably told him that aiming with the wiimote wasn't dependant on the sensor bar, but on the gyroscopes instead. As Tom discovered his mistake, not much could be done. So they just added this statement at the end of the analysis.
"This review originally stated that aiming was handled through the Wii Remote's infrared sensor, which is incorrect. The review has been amended accordingly. GameSpot regrets the error."
The story is as simple as it gets!

That's pretty much what happened. Played the demo and only calibrated once...
Some sites are already having their impression on the demo for Skyward Sword....they said it feels very responsive. Miyamoto just had some issues...
Some news editors are writing that the demo is fluent and response to motion is perfect. Miyamoto had some issues like Steve Jobs on Apple's conference....no biggie.... I love the art style

Metal Gear Solid: The NES Collection???
Umm...
Metal Gear Solid existed on NES? I think not my friend.
Someone please sound the BS Alarm!!!
Actually it did existed on NES...nevertheless, it is fake..
This is clearly fake...CLEARLY. Oder M? the Fall of Hyrule? Super Mario Galaxy 2 (isnt it out already)please........
Friendly reminder, You can't possibly compare the hype you receive from OoT to other games like WW and TP. OoT was the first 3D zelda and brought a NEW perspective.TC, I agree with a lot of what you said...
EVERYTHING about OOT was better than MM, WW, and TP to me... but I think that might be in part to Miyamoto's more direct development of the game instead of just overseeing... now, I did really like WW especially, and haven't played through TP as far as I should- but to me WW got tedious at points... and it felt really jumbled compared to OOT- it also came across like it was meant for a younger audience.

To me:
Zelda > Any game, any day.
Zelda > Money
If I had to choose between living or playing a new Zelda and dying instantly I would go with the latter.
There's no reason to not love Zelda, it's so diverse in style that at least one game will appeal to any gamer.
No such thing as a bad Zelda, every game has its greatness.
Zelda Wii was announced, copy reserved instantly.
I'm a huge fan, not because of the story, characters, plot, dungeons, items etc...but because how Nintendo has combined all those elements beautifully.
Zelda is not just a game to me, is my thing, my hobby. What I like reading about, what I like talking about.
I simply can't imaging gaming without Zelda. But then again, that's my opinion...
I can't wait for Zelda Wii news. I just can't wait, is there any way to lose consciousness for 2 weeks? All this uncertainty is driving me crazy...June 15th, 2010. That's a Tuesday...I don't know what else to write...I seriously can't wait...:?
