It is still just a form of entertainment to me.
One can always ignore a narrative or skip a cutscene.
My movie games.
Then I’d hit the correct QTE button combo to stop, drop, roll and flip out the second story window while grappling a tree limb and landing on top of and killing the evil doer that started the fire triggering my missle drop score streak wiping out his teammates.
@aia89:
If the story is good I pay attention and if not I don’t.
Why are video games treated or thought of differently than other entertainment mediums?
I mean if a book or movie telling a story isn’t good I lose interest in that just like I do a video game.
I don’t think crossplay is about userbase.
It’s about PR. Push something through PR that you know your competition won’t accept. It sounds good. It’s positive PR. That or like with Minecraft on Nintendo getting people to sign up with your network. I mean, who wouldn’t want their competitors customer list? I know I’d want it.
It’s not like any sane person loads up a MP game like COD and thinks “there are only 30 million people to play with? I’m buying a PS4!”
Why are people downplaying this with $500 X1X vs $199 PS4 slim?
Wouldn’t the $189 Xbox One S vs $199 PS4slim make more sense?
Those were the Black Friday deals. I’m not sure how people are saying the PS4 was cheaper. Where did this happen?
