CoD4: Modern Warfare

I just watched the trailer for the next call of duty game and it looks great. It maintains the same level of intense combat as its predecessors while adding the modern warfare aspect. The graphics look insane. The storyline looks like it will be awesome. From the video, the setting appears to be somewhere in the Mid East, maybe Iran or Iraq. There isn't a set release date for this one yet, but I can't wait for it. If this game is on PS3, then you can bet I'll be getting one. Together with MGS4 and the next Ratchet and Clank, this game has basically confirmed my interest in getting a PS3 some time in the near future.

the Braves are back!

I know that not everyone on here is a baseball and those who are aren't all Braves fans, but here me out. The Braves are coming back this season and recovering from a humiliating end to their 14 year winning sreak in our division. We have a stronger pitching staff and bullpen, and we have our four hard hitters in the lineup to help out the offense (Andruw Jones, Chipper Jones, Brian McCann, and Jeff Francoeur). I feel confident int he Braves this season. I believe that the team is in perfect shape to coem back strong this year and reclaim their rightful title of N.L. East Champs. We have to start this season if we want to beat our own record of 14 consecutive division titles. I guess it will be about 2022 when we pass ourselves. This should be a season to remember and it will hopefully overshadow last year's miserable defeat.

Mercenaries 2!!!

Everone had to love the first one on PS2 just as much as I did. It was so great. A game with the idea of GTA behind it, but you play as the guy. You can never go wrong with a game where you get to blow things up and fly all sorts of attack helicopters. I've heard rumors that the new one is set in Iraq, which is cool. I hope they bting back the same characters, but if they don't I'm sure the game will still be just as good. I would say that Mercenaries is biting at the heels of MGS3 as my favorite game on PS2. I'm sure that the sequel will be another mind-blowing game. I can't wait to see some trailers and screenshots from it. When it's released I'll definately have to give in and buy a PS3, or maybe I'll just wait until after Christmas when the price drops *fingers crossed*.

Snow Day!!!

The area around New York City is in the middle of a huge Nor'Easter right now, so no classes all day! It's mostly ice, with about three or four inches of snow.

MGS Movie!!!

It's official. Sony will be producing a Metal Gear Solid movie. I really hope it lives up to the game.

Lost!

I don't know how many of y'all are Lost nuts like me, but after a logn wait, I'm anxious to see tonight's new episodes. It's such a great show. Everything is getting so crazy with the others right now that I can't wait to see the rest of this season. I'm bettign that by the end of the night, we'll be just as confused as we started, but it will be about something new. They always answer the unanswered questions from previous shows, but those answers create three new cliffhangers that leave you waiting another week. That must be one of the main reasons I love the show; the suspense. Kate's pretty hot, too. Two hours will be enough to fill me up and keep me going for another week until next Wednesday's episode.

Ghostbusters game

As you've all probably seen by now, their are rumors about a possible Ghostbusters game. Anyone who was born in the 80s can remember this great movie. I would definately buy the game if it is released on a console I own. It's too bad that it would be released in 2008 at the earliest. If they were to get Bill Murray and soem of the other GB guys in addition to Dan Aykroyd, then it would a great game. Hopefully it will be a little bit better than the Nintendo game that was released way back in the day. Don't get me wrong, it was fun, but we've come a long way since then. On a next gen system like 360, it shoudl kick ass. Imagine how realistic they could make the ghosts. It should definately be a must-buy game for any fan of the movie.

future PSP gamer?

I've been thinking about it for a few days, and I've decided I want  a PSP. I don't know when, all I know is that I want one. I'll probably get it before the end of the school year. It would be great for me, because of traveling so much and needing to save space. It's something that is small and compact, yet will provide me with quality entertainment. I knwo the first game that I will buy will be Portable Ops, then SOCOM. EA has a Medal of Honor game out on PSP that looks good. I know that Vice City Stories is a great game. I guess 200 bucks is a reasonable price for it, and if I check out EBAY, I'm sure someone on there is selling one for a little less.

Super Bowl XLI

Here it is. The big game is around the corner. The Colts and the Bears will duke it out in two weeks. I would rather the Patriots have won lost night, but I suppose they've already won enough Super Bowls. I have to go with the Bears, because I could just never bring myself to cheer for Peyton Manning. Chicago has been doing well this year, and I realky think they could win. It will be a close and competitive game, no matter the outcome.

Snake Wars

This looks pretty cool. A nation wide MGS: PO tournament. I regret to admit that that is one of only two MGS games I haven't played along with Twin Snakes. It looks very good and it does actually tie into the storyline of it's PS2 counterparts. I'll definately have to try it out ASAP. Maybe I'll even buy a PSP before the summer so I can have it while I'm sailing. I'm sure that I'll need something like a PSP or possibly even my PS2 to unwind after a long day of handling lines and standing bridge watches. I really can't wait for MGS4, it's gonna blow my world. Hideo Kojima is the man. I can still remember the rst time I played MGS. The old days of Shadow Moses when the characters didn't have eyes but simply dark lines where they should have been. Phrases like "what was that noise" still echo far away in my dreams at night. MGS has definately come a long way as far as AI and graphics, but it's always been the greatest storyline of any game that I know of. I guess the only bad thing about Kojima's masterpiece is that some day it has to end. Snake has to die and Metal Gear has to be stopped once and for all. Until then, I'll just keep enjoying the genius of Konami.
