Not true. They don't need to use the mii's themselves.
They can use the selected features to create a character in the games' styl3 that resembles Your mii.
Like having an Orc look like Your dad-mii, a michael jackson-mii faerie or a You-mii puppy.

its not about brawl. its about nintendo's whole online system (think about MOH FFS!)
