Since I spent 30 minutes trying to remember this term for a post about Final Fantasy, I might as well record it somewhere that I can find.

Really, don't the facial features that the FF series have been using recently fall solidly into the uncanny valley? They look vaguely Japanese, but not quite. They're closer to hapa, or 3/4 Japanese. I dunno, they make me uneasy, and that's why I took so long to play the recent FFs. The only reason I did play them is because they were on super sale! I'm glad that I did, because I like them, but the graphics gave me pause. 8 years worth of pause.
