Hi there.
Recently I bought a new mobile phone, because my trusty old Motorola was falling apart after years of abuse and negligence.
This little thing is called the LG KG800 AKA Chocolate.
I can't even begin to mention the shortcomings and overall designer errors that is up with this forsaken phone.
But above all, the specs are what severely made me regret buying it.
The memory isn't expandable, because it has 128 mb memory shared. That's right, SHARED.
No micro sd card slots anywhere, which makes me think back when I still had a 128 mb mp3 player.
Oh, the carefully assembling and compiling of the playlist.
And then the crappy 1.3 mega-pixel camera... No, I won't even get into that.
Anyway, the memory and camera aren't the only problem. The provided pc sync software that is neatly packaged in the form of a mini cd-rom, isn't compatible with most systems. There is no other alternative for linking up your pc with it. With the exception if bluetooth.
This caused me to install drivers and updates on my pc, I probably shouldn't have. Just because I wanted to get it working.
Best thing about it is, when I tried it on my secondary pc... it recognized the phone without needing anything. Yeah, priceless.
The soft-touch pad(the red illuminated buttons) is very cool, although I feel like a limp-wristed youknowwhat when I slide my fingers across them. They react to the slightest touch, even hovering above it will do. Being used to actually pressing buttons, it took a little getting used to. But whatever, it's supposed to be the 'next-gen' in mobile phones, so I guess I can learn to love it.
The European version came packed with a bunch of goodies:
-an ac adapter of course
-a USB link cable, which also dubs for a recharging cable when connected to your pc
-a stereojack for your listening pleasure, with volume/track control.. in which you can plug your own headphones(although also included)
-a strange accessory that you can hang from your phone like a typical Japanese thing to 'pimp' your mobile.
But the back of it funtions as a little cleaning cushion to wipe of the inevitable fingerprints. Yeah, that **** actually works...
Although I haven't been able to find anyone else in my direct neighbourhood owning this phone, I must say that it sure attracted attention whenever I'd wave it around.
But whatever, I can call... send text messages... and look cool whenever I answer it...

Nope, still didn't justify it.
