[QUOTE="blue_hazy_basic"]How is no online play only worth knocking 0.2 off? Gamespot is so biased towards the PS3, Sonyspot.bexarath

You can't be serious??!!  You don't think it should be docked at all for not having online play?

They got identical scores in everything...Gameplay 8, Graphics 8, Sound 7,  Tilt 9, the only difference was in Value and thats because of the online play.  No online play = less value.  So the PS3 version got a 8 in Value, and the 360 got a 9 in Value..Sounds fair to me..

Uh, I think he meant that it should have been docked more for not having online...

doh,  now that i re-read it.  I think you're right.

Oh thats right,  cows did brag about this:

http://ps3.gamespy.com/playstation-3/virtua-tennis-3/728947p1.html

In regard to controls, gameplay feels just as smooth as it did in the past, and the AI feels mighty sharp for a game that's less than halfway complete. The gameplay feels a little better on PS3 than it does on 360 right now, and we're chalking that up to the difference in development houses, with AM2's game having a slight edge over the Sumo-developed game for Microsoft's system.

doh,  what happened cows

Were'nt people saying the PS3 version was going to be better because AM2 was making it for PS3,  and another Sega developer was making the 360 version?

I guess that wasn't true?  Both versions had AM2 working on it?

Judging by your avatar i would think you have a 360.  Why not just get a soccer game for 360...

I prefer Wii Sports.

Pressing a button to swing the racket or actually swinging the remote to swing the racket....which is more realistic in how you play...

I was just wondering why Blue-Ray is so hyped up..... i mean iv heard it cant be read from as fast as a HD-DVD, and i know it has more space... but i dont think games developers could actually fill all that space up. But im not too smart so please tell me which one you like and why.

P.S. im not a Microsoft fanboy.... I have a PC, and a DS Lite... Im neutral!

CPM_basic

it doesn't matter which one you like hd-dvd is finished check the news

ROFL all you BD owners keep saying HD-DVD is finished. But it couldn't be further from the truth.

The truth is TOTAL BD sales finally match TOTAL HD-DVD sales. They are basically neck and neck. How can you call the other format dead when it's sales equal the other format? According to the persons's logic who posted above me both formats are dead then...

Exactly,  software sales are wayyy to close for either format to be finished.

[QUOTE="henry_the_horse"][QUOTE="Orpheus_1986"]beta was the superiour technology...look what happend to that liitle technological gem.rage8669

Beta is a little different. Beta was better quality than VHS but it had less duration. So if anything HD DVD is the beta of the past because of its lack of storage. Blu-ray's much larger storage not only offers higher quality but it also offers more duration. So Blu-ray is almost like a VHS-Beta hybrid in comparison; the best features of both squared and none of their flaws along with next-gen technology.

wrong. betamax lost because it cost more than vhs, just like blu-ray now. the movies maybe around the same price but the lowest cost hd dvd player is $400 while the cheapest blu-ray player is $600 (not the ps3, a standalone player.)

Once again your wrong,  the cheapest HD-DVD player is $276 - $10 dollars with Google checkout.  Even with shipping and taxes included, it's still under $300.  You even get 5 free HD-DVD movies with the purchase of a standalone HD-DVD player,  thats a value of $100-$150 dollars in movies.

wow. that link is bs. first off, dual layer blu-rays hold 50gb, not 54 gb. second, buena vista doesn't support hd dvd because they're owned by disney. thirdly, disney does not support hd dvd.

Reign of Fire is from Buena Vista right??

Reign of Fire is on HD-DVD...

Reign of Fire is not on HD-DVD in North America.

So North America is all that matters in the format wars?:|

I think your logic is retarded, but regardless, i can still order Reign of Fire on HD-DVD, and it will play on my HD-DVD player...And i live in North America..

i call bs. reign of fire was distributed by buena vista on blu-ray. it is not on hd dvd. here's proof

No matter how you slice it, Buena Vista is not Bluray exclusive.

that has to have been releassed by a different sudio because buena vista/disney onnly released it on dvd and blu-ray, not hd dvd. see pic.

It's still Buena Vista, it's just not Disney.

I believe Studio Canal distributes Buena Vista movies in Europe and Japan.
