This is much different.

It is something you have to experience when playing it.

You won't get the same weight of the story or characters.

Things that are supposed to be important will feel trivial.

One vote from me. I care because of the way Sony handles it's business which is treat there consumers like they are brain dead, Sony far more than either of it's two competitors consistantly talks out both sides of it's mouth, and if someone were to apoligize i'd rather it be them than a random person on a forum whom they would probably laugh at and declare a sucker for doing there work for them.

Bottom line on how I see Sony. I'm assuming this is somewhere in the Sony Games Divisions World Headquarters as a hidden mission statement.

1. Let others do the legwork and take chances on creating, innovating or growing a market

2. Bash and ridicule them while they are doing it to ensure they don't take any of your market share at that time.

3. If said "gimmick" ie online gaming, hard drives, motion controls... succeds then copy it and praise yourself as the innovator

4. Market it to consumers as the best thing ever because they are to stupid to see what you've just done.

I remember back when I bought a Sony Vega HD tv (1080i, 720p), it was only later that I "learned" from Sony that it's not "true HD" because it didn't meet there current marketing campaign for the PS3. Does it matter at the end of the day to me? Yes only because I saw through the whole "we'll do anything to get you on our hype train, even if it means assuming you're an idiot and must be lead to the promised land of new product." I'd rather they put a disclaimer on said product that stated "please ignore anything we've said in the past about our competitors or there products, while you're at it please disregard what we may even have said about our own products as we've changed our mind in order to sell you something else". At least I could respect them a little then.

After that we could always dig up any one of tons of Sony blunders like the infamous 2005 e3 video of Jack T. discussing the in game footage of the Killzone ad nauseum only to later find out he completely lied and then did a really really bad job trying to backtrack and cover it up. Does it matter in the end if Killzone matched the video, nope not at all as that's not what it was about. It was about honesty of which he had none.

Or maybe when Kaz stated that the PS3 didn't even need to launch with games as young people would mow lawns all summer to save up money to buy one on brand alone. This is pure arrogance at it's finist.

Lets just face the facts, Sony doesn't innovate and leaches off the success of it's competitors to drive it's business forward. If you're ok with that then more power to you.

This doesn't mean that I think MS or Nintendo are angels when it comes to all I've bashed Sony for, it's just that Sony seems to do it far far more and far far worse.

You might as well not buy any gaming products at all? Here's an example Microsofts infamous RRoD might be one of gaming's biggest scams but guess what consumers did not care because the Xbox had the games to warrant the purchase so they bought another 360. As far as SONY is concerned they now have games that I want to play and keep updating there console trough firmware updates and implementing or improving ideas and I believe that is a smart "move" it is a business after all. And we all got a choice to either research and buy there products or not.

But don't come in here spilling you're propaganda on why you are not buying Sony products dont fall into the hype

I see lots of delusional xbots saying GeoW 2 and Just Cause 2 are on par with what the PS3 has Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, and Heavy Rain. This year claims about SC: Conviction, Alan Fake and Hahoo: Reach will take over the graphix crown the outcome well.. we got 2 sub-hd (with robot facial and movement animations) and 1 good looking game. Now the counter from the lem's "but Crysis 2 and Rage are the best looking games on consoles" but what they fail to realize is that those games are not due till next year and will not look identical. PS3 has shown that it is capable of producing the best visuals the 360 not so much. So my question to the lems is why after all these years do you all think Crysis 2 will look identical to the PS3's version?

Keep in mind while answering that question that Final Fantasy was supposed to look identical as well and look how that turned out.

On GameSpot? Nope, both games scored 9.0s. On Metacritic? Nope, GoW 3 got a 93 while Bayonetta got a 90. In general? Well that's just your opinion. Many will prefer the advanced combat of Bayonetta while others will prefer the epicness and the sheer scale of GoW 3.fabz_95

This^^ sums it up about right. GoW III is just on another level imo and I understand you did not like it TC but thats the way the cookie crumbles.
