The team I'm currently in has a good mix of people. Our Head is a Retired Air Force Wing Commander, so, the first impression I got of him was that this guy was gonna be a tough cookie. But he's really easy going around his team. Now it has only been a month since I joined the team but I guess I can gauge this much by his usual behavior. He's exceptionally intelligent and has worked real hard to get to such a top position. He expects the same from his team but he's not too harsh when we mess up. On the contrary, our Team Lead is one guy who'll have fun when HE wants to. Although he's a brilliant guy as well, he usually finds things to complain about, stresses a bit too much on formality and usually politicizes non-issues within the team.
4th Grade. School Playground. Running around with my friends. Buck-toothed guy suddenly appears outta nowhere. Right in front of me. Sprinting at top speed. Head on collision imminent. No options left. I close my eyes and turn my head to the side. Sickening crash. His tooth gets embedded into my left cheek... just an inch below my eye. Blood. Pain. Shock. Got 6 stitches and a scar. I now use it as a conversation-starter with appropriate modifications to the setting and the actual incident itself.
I really don't care a lot about looks as long as the girl is sweet, caring and laughs easily. Going a bit off topic here, but the girl I'm currently interested in (a training colleague) has that and is VERY cute as well. Sadly, once our training is over, we'll both be moving to different locations. I really like her a lot and we have developed a close friendship but, given the circumstances, I dunno if I can tell her how I really feel..... Meh... guess I'm just being lame...
