I have been a observer on the forums for some time. I have learned a lot about several of the games I play and have received a lot of help from you guys but I think I will pass on even looking at the forums in the future. I play mostly WWII games and a few modern ones. I asked a simple question about MOHA (a recent game) and got moderated and within a day the discussion was closed. How is an old man suppose to get the information he needs to get the most out of a game if he is shut out?? Again, you guys rock but this is too much. I will get my info from a place that is a little more understanding. Thanks again. Enjoy.

It means you made a brief post just to "bump" the thread to the front page with the most recent threads.

EnigManic

Let me understand this.......you mean if I renew or bring up a topic that is old and NEED an answer to, then it "bumps" something from the top whatever, then I'm being "moderated" ??? I guess if, in the future, I have a question, I will have to start a New Question.......Right?Thanks for the help.

I just received a note that I have been "moderated" whatever that means for something called "Bumping". I don't have any ideal what that is or why it happened. Would someone please explain this to me?? I do not use profanity, I do not insult any of the other people on the forums and I try to keep the messages to the point. Thanks

I have been playing MOHA for some time and it screams. All the other MOHs that came before can't hold a light to this one. There is one problem........even in the lowest stage and in the AVALANCHE stage, I can't seem to get more than 3 stars where you need all five. I run through this stage like a laxative, never got killed and must have killed 200 Germans. All the other stages seem to be good. Not this one and I have been through to the Expert stage several times. Great game.

Just purchased FALCON 4.0 ALLIED FORCE and can see it MIGHT be one to keep but it really does not compare to USAF. The graphics are not as good, the sounds are off, everything inside the plane is very good but when you go outside, the plane looks like it needs a lot of work. You only have one plane to fly (three versions) and with USAF, you had many more. I have had only a couple of hours with this game so I will keep it a while to see if it will work out. I would love to see EA come out with a new USAF that you could use in XP. Maynard

Haven't played USAF in years. I'd dust it back off, but I don't have my Sidewinder anymore :(

hellraiser6669

I just dusted this game off and tried to play it on a new setup with XP without success. In TRAINING, couldn't get the plane off the ground. Went to COMPATIBILITY and went through the list without success. When I could play it, I thought it was the best on the market and still do. What I would like to know.....is there anything on the market that is close to it??? Please don't say F/A-18 because I had that and tossed it. Would not even give it to a friend. Bad. Not even close to USAF. Thanks

Hey,

It's been a while since I've played this game. I had a new computer built and S.T.A.L.K.E.R will not go beyond 2 minutes. I have patch 1.0004 installed but that does not help. I close everything out that is running in the background and have no ideal what is causing the trouble. I have also uninstalled/reinstalled the game twice.......nothing. Here is a short note of what's in my computer:

Win XP

Processor: AMD ATHLON 64x2 Dual Core Processor

Memory 4g

Harddrive 400g

DISPLAY DEVICES: Card-ASUS EAH3850 series, Chip type- ATI Radeon Graphics Processor (0x9505)

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I always thought the same thing. I hate when games put these weapons in and when you go to fire them they sound like an air-soft...They definitely need to make them louder and actually echo.

Hmm.. I don't know about the real sounds myself, but louder and echoing guns would be great. But IMO MOHA's guns sound SWEET. I don't know if they sound real or not, but at least they sound good.

May I make a suggestion? Go to your local firing range and just listen to the reports of the high-powered rifles and pistols. Then you will hear something sweet. I don't think you will hear a M1 Garand or .30 Carbine unless you have a few Vets around but you will get the ideal what a real rifle/pistol should sound like. I had a .22 when I was a kid that sounded better than what the game guns sound.

Yeah I know... :) But I still think Airborne sounds nice. :P

Nice is not real

Yeah I know. That's why I said they sound NICE. I didn't say they sound real did I?

Yes, you are right BUT again, I play this game because of an interest in WWII and to hear these pea shooters go off, it takes away a lot of that interest. There are more pressing problems with the game than the sound and that is really what I need help with. Thanks

I have fired the M1 Garand. It is fun to shot. I know exactly what you mean. Even the ping of the clip ejecting doesn't sound right in half of the games. It has such a awesome sound but isn't always done to well.

You are so right. I love that rifle. The only other sound from a rifle that comes close is a Remington 40x in 22-250. Now that is a sweet rifle. Getting back to some problems........I have been playing MOHA tonight and I'm getting a lot of bland screens in the middle of the game, the monitor even shut down one time and I've noticed that "funny" things happen like when you make a kill, the body is floating in mid-air or the arms and/or legs just grew to 8 ft.!!! One time I turned around and one of the Americans was waist deep in solid cement. This is something I would expect from a game back 10 years ago, not one today.
