cheap wireless xbox 360

a few days ago i saw this lifehacker article:

http://lifehacker.com/software/how-to/build-a-wi+fi-adapter-for-your-xbox-360-on-the-cheap-306678.php

the main reason i dont have the xbox wireless adapter is that i refuse to pay 100 bones for it. however, $30 is totally reasonable. plus i always wanted to make a bridge out of a router. it ended up being a little tricky because of the buffalo routers i used, but the end result is that my xbox is now rocking the internets.

pgr3 whats up?

hey project gotham 3, whats the beef? i just scored 52.25 on a hot lap which had a target time of 52.25. im in the clear, right? WRONG!! i got a big fat failed message. also, why did you remove the ghosts from the hot lap? how am i supposed to learn from my mistakes?

also, just saw the trailer for the new ace combat on the 360. cant wait!

super bunk

so i got act of war and star wars empire devided, but for some reason they're crapping out on my computer (severe graphics corruption). then i got an xbox today, but it was one of the ones with the read disc error. itll be like 2 more weeks till i get a working one. nothing seems to be turning up right. C&C decade has been fun at least.

Empire at War demo

Being the biggest Star Wars nerd around, i was almost a little apprehensive downloading the demo. however, after playing it, i think its going to be a good game. i dont think its going to blow me out of the water, but i think ill have a lot of fun playing it.

Now Playing...

Ive been playing the GC fire emblem pretty much non stop recently. its pretty fun, and i love the characters (rolf rules!). Ive also been playing ultima 5 lazarus, which is pretty fun, but almost makes me want to play the original u5 more. to bad its in california. ill have to get it during spring break. ive also been playing secret of monkey island.

Dragon Quest 8

man, for the first time in a while i have been doing some serious binge gaming. for a while i was playing ages of empires III. its pretty fun and a real good looking game, but i felt like it took some steps back from rise of empires (i know). whats really gotten me hooked is dragon quest 8. i was recently replaying final fantasy 8, and i was really in the rpg mood. dq8 is really hitting the spot. id highly reccomend it to any old school rpg fan.

Soy PSP

the sony psp is kinda sold out in nyc. granted, i didn't try that hard to find one today, but i assumed that most places would not sellout. im not saying people didn't want one, its just that sony had pushed a lot of systems out. also, i can normally get games, even highly anticipated games (such as halo 2), on their release date without a preorder. if the weather is better tomorrow, i plan on trying to get one again. im also still on the lookout for the reebok pump 2.0 running shoe! i still havn't seen anyone playing one on the subway yet either.

gaming

ive kinda had gaming on the back burner for a while. i played through tales of symphonia again, its definately very fun. im not quite sure which videogames im anticipating next.

Color me Surprised

i just recently picked up 2 high profile games that i really am enjoying. i say this because lately i have been disappointed with some of the bigger releases (yeah im looking at you mechassault 2). Also, i admit that im a videogame eletist and i like to think i have the best taste in videogames, and i thought one of these titles was 'below my standards'. without further ado they are mercenaries: playgound of destruction, and prince of persia: the sands of time.
i know POP was highly lauded, so i cant complain there, but i was a huge fan of the original and i didnt want to be disappointed. sands of time had great atmosphere and the puzzles were very fun. i must admit, the combat was a little repetative, and the game was short, but i still highly reccomend it. all of the princes lines were well delivered.
mercenaries just snuck up on me and the advertisements on tv rubbed me the wrong way so i was hesitant to get it. but, gamespy gave it a favorable nod, and i didnt have anything to do today, so... So far so good. it kinda reminds me of freedom fighters, a game i really enjoyed.
