Cafe Job - Amateur Barista

I have recently began working at a cafe.

I do everything but cook. Cleaning tables, sweeping regularly, washing dishes, serving food and so forth.
But predominantly, my main job is making all of the coffee. So essentially, I'm working as a barista.
The cafe is right in the heart of the city, and it is the first time I have ever worked in a cafe before, or tried putting the coffee making skills
I learnt a while ago into professional practice. I use the word professional lightly, because, I could certainly stand to be better.
The experience is invaluable, and I know that the centre of the CBD is the most busy a cafe is probably ever going to get, so if I can handle it there, I can handle anywhere.

The worst part of the job is probably standing around not seeing anything that I could be doing to help, feeling useless, knowing the boss is watching.
The best part of the job is pouring a beautiful latte I know is good, or a great looking cappuccino. Or when I see someone come back more than once during the day for another coffee; one that I made.
