No thats the southpaw which is a reverse of default, legacy is move forward/back & look left/right on left stick then strafe left/right & look up/down on right stick. But even southpaw is left out of alot of games. I have managed to set legacy controls in bioshock on the pc by editing the configuration files & it works perfectly. Still having problems with crysis, I can only strafe if I'm walking or turning, not independently. I can't say I'm surprised by this problem as controller support in crysis is pretty terrible as standard, it seems it was patched on as an after thought. Plus any time I ask for advice on the forums all I get is "why do you want to use a gamepad on pc" from the anti console police, they do seem determined to bring about death to pc gaming. Maybe if full gamepad configuration was available on pc as well as console you would see rise in pc gaming as there is no doubt it delivers the best gaming experience, provided you have the money for a gaming rig.Is legacy the one where (on the n64 controller) where you look around with the joystick and strafe left / right with the right-c and left-c and move forward / back with up-c down-c?
I liked that one anyway, closest thing to a controller mimicing a keyboard imho.

do not bother me cause i dont use legacy controls :Pchaoscougar1Why do people leave pointless comments? Thanks for the info on bad company, I didn't buy the first one because of the lack of legacy. Hopefully the gaming industry will realise that not including all four possible thumbstick layouts is putting alot of people off gaming all together. Especially it seems my age group (I'm 33), in general we have a greater disposable income than that of a teenager so alienating this sector of the market doesn't make any sense. I have been trying to modify the controller settings in crysis to allow legacy, it uses actionmaps.xml to maps sticks & buttons. This file is easily understood and fairly easily modified and used in all games for windows titles as far as i'm aware, apart from some minor problems I have managed to acheive a customised controller layout. If I can do it on pc with my limited knowledge why can't developers across all platforms.
