Hey Mina! How's the summer life treatin' you all? Well, for me it's been extra busy! I finally took a picture of my TV, I love it! I really wish I could buy a new pair of eyes to go with the new TV though, lol. I can't say how great it is though, it looks beautiful and there are so many colors I didn't see before in my games. I think my biggest surprise was in Rainbow Six Vegas 2. When you pull up the map, it has green and red indicators that show where your teammates and enemies are. Well, I always thought that they were green and red arrows but they aren't! They are green and red circles with lines through them! I was so shocked! Lol :P Though I have to admit that it has also made some games look horrible! All in all it was a great buy!
Now to the topic at hand for which this blog is written for :P A lot of things have happened in the same week as when I bought the TV, so here is my record of that time period.
It was Wednesday morning and I woke up with a great sense of excitement. My new TV was supposed to arrive that day by way of a special delivery company. I especially took off work that day so I could wait for my new toy to be delivered. Noontime came by, which is the typical time for deliveries in my area, and passed with no knock at the door.
What is this? Why hasn't it come? I waited until I could wait no longer. It was already late, around 6 p.m. when I had to go grocery shopping.
I was very disappointed and left the house feeling very down. When I got back, I started to unload all of the bags, and there in the living room was a nice gigantic box!
My beloved TV had finally arrived!!! I set up the TV as fast as I could and then proceeded to spend the entire night playing with my new toy.
That weekend, being a little sleep deprived, I woke up at noon. My parents were talking loudly so I went to the kitchen to see what the commotion was all about. My parents had some big new . . . big news! My father had just been promoted to a regional general manager which meant that he would be getting a raise. Not only that, his disability went from 20% to 50% which meant more money. He also got a retroactive check to cover the 10 years that it took to approve his disability. And to top it all off, they got their stimulus check.
Phwee?!? That's a lot of money. So my parents said it was okay for me to buy a new surround sound system for the new TV.
And that I could go ahead and get a new computer as well.
They also added that we would be putting in new floors as well as landscaping the front yard. Does that mean I have to help?
For the rest of the weekend, we cleaned out the front yard. And as we were cleaning, I was attacked by an enormous bug. As I was trying to kill it, I hit myself in with the shovel.
Needless to say, it's been a crazy week and it's only going to get crazier since we still have to move out all the furniture and paint all the walls before the new floor goes in. I don't know if I'm going to survive, lol.
