OK so I'm thinking about building a new pc and then selling on the old one. The new setup will have specs along the lines of

MSI mobo (undecided on which one)
Athlon64 3500+
Radeon X800 (undecided on pcie or agp)
200/300gb SATA
1gb crucial RAM
Tsunami Dream case
Plextor DVDRW
Some kind of uber PSU
a nice thermaltake or zalman hsf
Audigy 2

then I can start getting into pc gaming again!! yay!

This one isn't gonna be cheap :/
