MAN...My 8600GTS comes tomorrow. I'm so excited becasue right now I only have an Nvidia 6800GT..LOL. So I cant wait to see how I can play my games now...And this card is only to keep me occupied until December when I get my new pc..I CAN'T WAIT =D....I already downloaded all the drivers and I downloaded that Smoke in a box demo and also the Bioshock demo. I'm going to take my old card out before I go to sleep tonight, that way when I get home from school tomorrow, I can just open the package and put the card in =D..Then I will be able to help with reviews on the EVGA 8600GTS Superclocked..
ANGELOFSOLLACE, I think i'm going to listen to you because I don't want to spend all this money just to see some new cards come out holiday season that will blow the 8 Series away...I'm a little concerned about Vista, I don't know yet, wether or not I want to purchase it. If I do, I will want to get the Ultimate package..But then again I hear that Vista has poor driver support for the new cards..I dunno. I'm just going to ait until December to make up my mind, because all the rumors say that Nvidia will be releasing the 9 series card this November..I can't wait =P. I just want to be able to play games like Crysis and others to follow. I havn't ordered my new PC yet, So those specs that I posted below, are not final.. I just ordered an 8600GTS Superclocked this morning, along with a new PSU to entertain me for now =D. I just hate the waiting part..

ANGELOFSOLLACE, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to disagree with you on what you think my PC's performance can do. I have a 6800GT right now and I can play Call of Duty 2 and Quake 4 And Battlefield 2142 On High settings. I can even play Oblivion on High settings if I lower the AA just a bit.. If I upgrade to the 8600GTS, I think I'm going to be able to get alot better performance from my games..My pal has the same exact card but his processor is not as good as mine and he can play Oblivion and al the other games I mentioned, Maxed out. He even runs Stalker at High settings. So i'm pretty sure I will be able to punch out some pretty good Frame rates.. Post back what you think..
Does anyone know, Or does anyone think, That an Nvidia 8600GTS Superclocked will be able to play Crysis or Bioshock with decent frame rates?... I want to buy the card but I don't know how good it is going to do on the thew games.. I only have 1GB of RAM in my machine but I have a 2.8GHZ Processor....If anyone has any clues or suggestions, Please post. Thanks!! =D ~CRYSIS FTW~
I'm getting the 7900GS next week! Boo ya!! I can't wait, because as of right now, i'm only running a 6800GS And I can't stand having to run most my games on either medium or low. Such as Oblivion, Stalker, BF2142, FEAR, and COD2. But the 7900GS looks like it will meet my needs. Just have to wait until my mom gets her next paycheck..
