wow. super laggy gaming delivered right to my tv? sign me up. sorry, the bandwidth isn't there, the computing power isn't there, and the economics definitely aren't there. and the failure rate will be too high to be acceptable to the gaming environment. when a YouTube video hitches up half way through loading, not that big a deal. that happens when i've worked my way thru a large chunk of a gaming session, and i'll wonder why the hell i just paid for that.
this feels like it was compiled by someone who has heard of horror games, but never really been a fan of them. Silent Hill only shows up in Gross Out Horror and SH1 & 3 show up nowhere? and Fatal Frame is forgotten entirely? maybe next you could get J.K. Rowling to do a piece on Russian existentialism...
i'm sorry, but those load times are still disgusting. 3 minutes to get into a wrestling match? that's a whole round of boxing already. i was starting to consider getting a PSP, too, for MGS Portable Ops and Silent Hill Orgins. But 3 minutes to load? man, i got things to do.
i wish there was a single game on here i want to play. not big on the sports games these days, and the others are just too unbearable to even consider. i keep slugging away at Dead Rising on the long slow roads to points that matter to me. already got all the Oblivion points.
Company splash screens at the beginning of video games are really unacceptible. And the ones you can't skip should get the responsible parties thrown into San Quinton. I'm sure developers and publishers are proud of their work, but delaying my gaming experience for several seconds per company is Incredibly Annoying. The business case for these screens is negligiable at best and Incredibly Annoying all the time. All the time. Take me straight to the game!!!
Game publishers -- prepare for a HUGE reduction in press coverage and gamer attention. This sounds like the set up for an analyst conference with lots of aching butts and flipping through Power Point slides. Why bother? Just have a big Press Release Weekend and send the press emails from your cubicles.
