For me yes. I only have a premium 360, but I have a PS3 and a HDMI compatable tv and there is a big difference between component and HDMI. The HDMI picture is much cleaner crisper and has better colors than component. Even though the TV only does 720p and 1080i. Of course HDMI looks best when used with 1080p, but there are a lot of HDTVs that only do 1080i and 720p and they have HDMI in-puts. If it wasn't good with those resolutions the TVs wouldn't have them. So to answer your question most likely there will be a better picture quality with HDMI even thoug its 1080i and not 1080p, just have to factor in the quality of the HDTV, and some say the quality of the cable, but I think most cables are the same. And as always there is gonna be someone who says I'm wrong we don't need HDMI blah blah blah. For me I'm bummed my Premium doesn't have HDMI, the picture could be so much clearer.RabbidDawgIf u say so!!!

no realy i dont recommend its not worth it not at all.My tv does not support 1080p and I won't be upgrading for some time because I just got my current tv. My current tv's max resolution allows 1080i. It also has an HDMI input. Would the elite be worth getting for the HDMI connection?
Note: I'm not concerned about HD space, etc... the HDMI interests me the most in the elite - but is it much better than component at 1080i?

[QUOTE="w00tcolors"]I have a 42 inche with 1080p and its BEAUTIFUL, You can definitely notice it.Endgame_basic
Same here. The only people who say it doesn't make a difference are people without 1080p tvs...
this is so true i have 42" supporting 1080i but it has only 1024x720 pixelsbut i also have a 1080p lcd 1920x1080 pixels and the difference is quite fairly better like in (fifa 08) on the better 1 i can read the names onplayers shirts and the other tv/plasma i cant really.i hear you shouldnt get 1080p unless your tv is 50" and over because you wouldn't notice the difference if its smallerCSP121i myself think that fron 37" or from 42" you actually notice i difference that is if you have 1080p supported appliances
its no joke, high definition is great. You need a plasma or a lcd that supports 1080p to really See the difference, and a xbox 360 ps3 and so on. to your previous statement where u said u couldn't tell the difference betweenn 480i and 1080p that is insane. 1080i and 1080p are equally good but720p n 480i are crap.
