This article is DUMB. They are saying "the new OS is getting close to dethroning Windows XP", and the results are WAY TOO FAR FROM THAT. SP1 practically didn't do ANYTHING for gaming performance. If you want to dethrone XP you have to win the GAMING MARKET, and that will not happen in a near future.

mr_p they compare crossfire 3850 vs a 8800gt because THEY ARE IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE :):):) you are an example of a person that would buy a extremely expensive card for just a little more fps

this processors are great, just look at the prices between the Intel Core 2 Q6700 @ 2.66GHz and AMD Phenom 9600 @ 2.3GHz this is just the beginning ;)

beckoflight HAHHAHAHA ) ATI 2900 XT ... will show its quality from now on because of its drivers .... the aritecture was allready superrior evan to the ULTRA ... practacaly the only thing that the 2900 has lower than both 8800 GTX & ULTRA is the ddr .... but starting from the clock to the transitor count its far more superrior ... i wonder why they didn't test two 2900 XT in corssfire .... i think the answer is clear Nvidia is a much better sponsor ! PAY ATTENTION when reading the performance guide, it says that 2 hd2900 in crossfire couldn't load properly the game due to driver problems, when that problem is solved, i'm pretty sure that will surpass 2gtx in sli

beckoflight 1one more Question why does Gamespot use older drivers those anybody know !???? Because not always, the latest is the best. I think that they test everything with catalyst 7.6 & 7.7 and the 7.6 performance was greater than the 7.7 driver.
