The bonuses Amiibo provide can barely be called DLC outside the fact that you bought a collectable figurine that also happens to unlock a costume in mario kart, or trainable sparring partner/teammate in Smash Bros. And for what it's worth the reputation DLC has received over the years from companies like Capcom hasn't exactly done the practice any favors.
I see this more like a Game Boy color situation really. It will have some exclusives especially games that will take advantage of the new hardware while at the same time supporting the older software. they will more then likley still release regular 3DS games the difference however is like the GBC with some extra features being unlocked when playing it in the newer console.
Nintendo said they aren't patching it because it would not be fair to existing users.

Same here. I also can never do any ghost data races on Maka Wuhu, because at least two people use that glitch to cheat. :(
Same people just use it because others do. I actually don't blame them for that. If you discover someone cheating, you should just cheat back and try to get past them.
Maybe I should try to find out exactly how to use the glitch. I'm aure there is a Youtube video with it out there.
whenever maka wuhu is chosen I end up having to do the glitch because I already know that there is some one that is going to cheat added on to the fact 6 out of 8 people always pick that course
They probably wanted to experiment with a few of the obscure characters from the mushroom kingdom however honey queen is one of the character I fail to see getting in after all she only made two appearances
