I pay for what i think is the best version of the 360 only to find out that they are about to release a new one thats better and costs even more.....that really pisses me off!!! They should have put moe time into making it rigt the first time, sure my PS3 cost 600 but at least with all the hardware they put in it i know i'm not gona have to buy anew one because its better anytime soon. Thank you sony

SicsStringFreak

say that in a year when sony totally forgets about the ps3 community and try to get a head start on the new generation.... sony does not care about the gamers only the investors.

Gamers = Consumers.  Consumers buy the product.  Without the consumers there is no product, thus there is no investment to earn a return.  If a company cares for their investors then they would care about their product and how the product evolves and compares/differentiates from the competition.  Refrain from making these statements unless you have the simple understanding basic economics.

Im thinking about getting a PS3 this weekend.  I have a 720P(Native) Widescreen CRT HDTV and was wondering if: A) Will the PS3 Games play in 720P and, B) will Blue-Ray movies play in 720P?  The reason I ask is becuase I have heard that the PS3 downscales 1080P titles to 480P if you dont have the right TV.  Please clarify.  Thanks.

uhm, i thought it was LCD > Plasma because of the greater crystals with plasma

DLP > both plasma and LCD for now atleast

That's what I'm saying.

though with DLP.. I have been told the bulbs progressively die and are completely dead in two years time.. needing a replacement bulb of around $400. Otherwise i would go for the DLP because its about the same price for 10" more

Well I'd rather pay $400 for an extra bulb than buy an entire new TV once an LCD/Plasma TV dies.

LCD/Plasma last roughly 8 to ten years. By that time there will be something new out that will make LCD/Plasma/DLP/LCOS a thing of the past. so paying $400 every 2 years may not be worth while. Either way your going to eventually want to upgrade to the newest cream of the crop set

I have this tv and it is awesome. but I could not get it to hook up via VGA, however component worked no problem. I don't really notice a difference though when it is switched to1080p. I usually use 720p, because it gives a slightly better frame right and picture imo. Also with the current generation of lcd tvs the gap between plasmas and lcds is becoming neglible, to the average viewer, plus theres no nasty glare :P

why couldnt you hook it up through vga?
