Second semester started just a couple of days ago at my school, and I have good ol' physics this time around (as well as Calculus and Computer Science).

So, today we got around to doing a little bit of review, and we got our textbooks. *skips ahead in narrative* Then we had to go do some work on page 8, as I turned the pages I came across page 5.

On page 5, guess what I found? The Enterprise-D! OMG! The Enterprise-D? The caption asked what warp 9.6 is in terms of c (the speed of light). Then I was all like "Duh, it 1909c. Who doesn't know that?"

Anyways, that's my interesting anecdote for the day/week/month/quarter/year (whenever I get another good one that I remember).

Well, today I was going over all the little things in my file. Among other things, I found my Now Playing list, only to see that Maetroid Prine 2 was still on the list.

Still on the list?!?

It has been there for more than a year now, but I think I'll get around to finishing it someday...actually, I'm only like 6% into the game, so I gots a lot to do still. Hmmm......

     These days I'm having a really hard time finding time to play games, I mean, like, I have been reduced to less than 3 hours a week, most of that time being played out on the weekend.
     This problem is horrible, I mean, how am I supposed to live without being able to play video games?

     Though, I know why I am under such constraints, it is these dag nab'b forums, and unions...and the ridiculous amount of homework I get when I have three major courses in a semester, plus a minor course. Then there are the whole exo-curricular commitments I have made, well, only one really at the moment consumes a large amount of time.
     So, in order to combat this lack of game time, I am cutting a large amount of GS/internet time until I have less homework, as well as a sizable chunk of exo-curricular time. Sorry guys...

Well, I know I failed last time at making the Nerd Union....and I hope some jerk hasn't made one in the mean time. This time I will ensure that it is successful!

So, my grandmother died the other day and today was the funeral. Everybody seemed to be fairly teary...except for myself. Though that is most likely because of my beliefs. The problem is that I think it might make me seem less human to do so. What was your reaction to the death of another family memeber???

Have you ever read "The Outsider", it was a short novel by Albert Camus. At the begginning of the book, the main character: "Mearsault", finds out that his mother has died, and for some reason, he does not feel sad, or happy, or any real emotion. Following the funeral, he goes on a journey, in which he sees the life around him becoming more and more superficial--the he shoots a man once, in self defence...followed by 4 more shots. He turns himself in, goes to trial, is convicted, and then hung.

The point I am trying to make is that he was an existentialist--is that what I am becoming? I do no expect anyone but myself to be able to answer this question. *sigh*hmm...

A first for myself, another journal in the same week, in fact it hasn't even been 24 hours since my last entry. But why? Because I find in nessecary to celebrate insignifigant things, such as level ups. I am now level 14, a Ring King. So I guess that means I can take on any one of you in teh ring. I can't wait till I am a Shenlong, cuz Altron is teh greatest!!!!!!!!!11

So, the other day I was sitting around twittling my thumbs and I thought, why can't I talk about [nerd] stuff more on GameSpot? First thing first, look for an existing nerd union. Guess what? Their was none.

So, now I am making a nerd union with my own nerd rules and nerd topics that only nerds will like. The hard part is inviting the right people, I still need one person to agree and then...history...hopefully.

Today was different, aside from being summer and waking up at 5:30 in the afternoon. No, today I did something I haven't done since I had to in the tenth grade: I read a newspaper.

Not just any newspaper, it was the "Toronto Star". The big bold and coloured headlines caught my attention as I was walking down the stairs to my room; it read "Anarchy". Anarchy, you don't see that everyday in the papers; and what was this anarchy about? New Orleans; New Orleans is becoming a third world city inside a first world country.

People in New Orleans are living in the Superdome with no running water, very little of any food, and no electricity. They are also living on the streets and other large partially damaged buildings. They are looting stores, having Mexican stand-offs with the cops and raping each other, all while waiting for the apparent buses to arrive and take them to safety. Of course, this makes almost no sense...unless of course, neither does the president.

Yes, that's right, I have turned this talk about Anarchy in New Orleans into a rant about George W. Bush. What is going in New Orleans: a bunch of National Guard, cops, and even some military personnel are guarding stores, casinos, and stoping convicts from escaping instead of helping people who are dying. Where are the convicts going to go. They are beating people and threating to beat journalists who take photos of it. The buses stil haven't arrived to evacuate people, there aren't even portable toilets, just guess where these people are going. What has the president done? He has sent more military, and 10.5 billion dollars to save these people. Yet, why is there still a hold up. I don't know.
