Well, im going to bed now, i hope buy the time i wake up this is fixed. i am afraid to leave this thread, since by the time i come back there will probably be 1 or 2 new ones... going to sleep, and gonna wake up in 10 hours.... i do hope this is fixed, if not ill be camping here again. see ya guys, good luck to ya all :P if the problem as been made oficial please somebody PM so that i can keep my self informed, because i won't be going back trough 60 more pages looking for a post saying the "oficial" reason :P
This error has JUST happened to me, litterally 10 minutes ago. The console was fine all morning, turned it off at about 11am. turned it back on at 1:15pm and bam, error code, AND the date was set to 1/1/2000. Instead of 1/3/2010. And my tropihies has gone for the only game i tried to load.
My major concern is if they (sony) issue a fix for this, it'll be accross the network right? The error stops you from singing into the network. How exactly will we get the fix?

I was thinking that exact thing a while ago, i mean if i cannot connect, since after a second it gives me the error, how the hell will it be fixed? unless it has to do with the servers... i am confused right now..

ok... this had me confused... how the hell can this be happening? your not the first person to sya this, but only now i bothered to write, i mean... it is just weird, if someone who has never had hte PS3 conected to the internet apears here with this error, im gonna be pissed, because it will mean it has something to do with the date or something "weird" like that... im scared... lol hmmm, i have connected my ps3 to the internet once. i downloaded the psn thing and made an account. all i wanted 2 do was update some games.. which worked. but i havent bothered moving my ps3 back 2 where i can connect it 2 the internet since that 1 and only time. early jan i think it was... that basicly qualifies to what i was saying... that point to a date issue, but i still find it way weird...

No one believes you... but I found that page funny. It still doesn't make sense that people who weren't connected to the internet still got this error, unless the person who claimed to have the problem just lied. im with ya, or either they lied, or they are like GeneralHawx said, already singned in and infected.... if not liying or infected then it is just weird, could it be that it is a date error? that would sound so badly in the PS3... i mean there are ads that say: PS3 it only does EVERYTHING. (including crashing do to a defective month) :P i never had htis before.

I know it is somewhat weird to freak out, but even if i don't beleive that you can loose trophys permanently, i am scared of loosing mine, because out of all the stuff this error is doing, this by now seems the worst... since you can't Redownload Trophys. but i do beleive that they don't go away since they are saved to your acount. but hey, i would never belived that a online error would prevent you form playing offline games single players bla bla bla...
i was wandering if the content that gets corrupted like Games, Themes and Trophys are the ones you try acessing. i cant see my Tekken 6 Trophys, and that was the only game i accesed when the Error began. and my instaled ACII Premium Theme is corrupted, and since some people say that some of there DL games are corrupted i was wandering if it hass something to do with that. if somebody can clear this up i would be grateful. sorry for the Bad english

Hey... iv come to join you all! i was playing Genji Days of The Blade, and i was gonna join my friend in tekken 6, when i started the game it said it oculd not find or create the trophys, so i did what i usualy do when i have any error, restart the PS3, fate would have it and i have the same error as you guys, i imidiatly came to google and i find this thread saying Feb 28 and so on, so i though this was a day old problem, but i forgot the time diference :P here is Mar 3 1:40 AM.... i also have a Fat 60GB first model. makes ya wonder what the hell Sony's doing, but has it has been said it will be resolved soon, since there are so many. i am yet to check for corrupted data, but so far i am not worried with nothing, since anything i loose i can redownload.... i havent posted on Gamespot for osme time now, but this seemed like the time to do so :P BTW sorry for bad english ;)
