XBOX 360 Versus. Playstation 3

Many, many fan boys on here I see. People like Pablo620 (see the Xbox 360 Vs. PS3 Comparison 5) say that "Uncharted 2 craps on all these games" as his argument for Playstation 3 on the graphical comparison done by this site. This is a foolish comment as it's way undersold compared to the giant/popular games, that's why they're comparative, as they're the most popular and best-selling and available for both systems. You can't compare "exclusive-to-system" games strangely enough because they're (guess what) exclusive! Just as we won't be able to compare the new XBOX 360 Exclusive - Splinter Cell Conviction as it's not coming out for the PS3! Developers put more time into exclusive titles as they don't have to make it work across the board and therefore it's easier to role out in higher and better graphical detail. I'm no fan boy but I do prefer the 360. The game selection and the service from Xbox is vast in comparison. Anyway on to the comparison shots. It seems to me that the 360 has the edge on detail and shading, the PS3 images seem to have more depth perhaps but some of the shadowing is too dark and some detail is lost. Plus it looks as though the PS3's put a soft-lens focus on everything which is probably why it loses detail in the first place. The people mentioning RROD should probably be aware that the PS3 has a similar problem, it's just not been over-hyped as much due to there being not nearly as many people that own one and therefore the backlash was less. Whether you're familiar or not it's called YLOD or Yellow Light of Death. You should probably look this common fault up before slamming the 360 for having RROD. I've had both systems and both problems. I think both systems are good for different reasons and do their jobs in their own right. Let's face it the differences are hardly vast between the two. We should all keep our opinions open on both machines and enjoy whichever one we prefer and not worry about what's going on with the other. What I'd really like to see is a system that allowed Xbox gamers and PS3 gamers alike being able to play over the net against each other, now that would be something. We should all rest easy in the knowledge that we each own the machine we prefer and enjoy playing it to the best of our abilities. Perhaps then we can do away with these endless and pointless comparisons and not have to argue about the fact constantly.

Hope this finds you all well. Happy gaming!
