Another Year, Another Place

Been a year and a few months since my last blog. I never really thought I'd be working for something I'd have a stake in in just one year. The same person who didn't even have a job 12 months ago, now a shareholder in an upstart. Feels great when you take steps that get you closer to realizing your dreams.

As great as it all is in the grand scheme of things, we've just started out and work at the moment is extremely hectic. I spent the whole past week working tirelessly. I didn't even see daylight until today. There are no breaks, and we don't sleep for more than 2-4 hours. Worst of all, I haven't gamed in 7 DAYS! :| We're all driven on the promise of an early retirement, so that we'd have all the time in the world to do whatever we want, whenever we want, however we want.

Anyway, my short respite is coming to an end. I can't exactly tell you what I'm working on at the moment, but I can tell you that its a game, and it involves DRAGONS!

Oh, and one more thing, we've already published the first set of our games on Google Play. They aren't anything special, and definitely not representative of the kind of company we want to be, but we really need to cover up our operational expenses as quickly as we can so that we can focus entirely on producing the kind of games we want to make. I'd really appreciate it if you gave them a look :)

P.S. - They're all guess games

If any of you are interested, you can find those games over at Play Store:

Late Night Ramblings: First job and first blog (and first guide)

When I look back at 2011 and think about my achievements in the past year, the ones on my PSN account are the only ones that pop up. I wouldn't call 2011 a year wasted, but I think its safe to declare it as the most unproductive year of my life. There was so much more I could have done, but I spent all my time gaming. So, when 2012 came, I put up some objectives for myself, my new year's resolutions.

The first one was to get myself a job. If I wouldn't have found a job soon, I'd be flat broke by the end of this month, with no money to purchase the new titles that I've been so eagerly waiting for. So I started following up on any and all job opportunities I found, and find a job I did!

I just got hired by Segment Next as a content writer. Not something big, but hey, its something, and its all about games. Well, I'm currently charged with writing guides for League of Legends. I'll admit , writing guides for a living is quite demanding, more so than I thought it was, probably because my boss wants me to write 60 guides a month :?

They just published my first guide on their site a few a hours ago. You can read it ---> here. The guide is intended for beginners, for those who intend to start playing the game soon or have recently started and require a quick overview of the basics. Let me know what you guys think in the comments section and do mention anything you think its lacking so I can update it.

I'll keep you guys informed on any new guides I write if you're interested. Just let me know in the comments area, or follow me on Fuse if you use it.

Got my first job and here I am writing my first blog on GS after being here for almost 7 years. Life's progressing :D Now where's that trophy notification for 'Getting Employed' :P
