If I didn't know any better, I'd say GameSpot was trying to be controvercial... but since Sorcery isn't a major title like ME3 or GTA:V it's wasted effort, bashing a decent game for no reason. I own the game, and he clearly has no clue what he's talking about when describing the combat. He didn't know how half the spells worked, or was unaware they even existed... I'm sure if he'd actually spent some time with it and tried to really "play it" he'd realize how great the combat is. He never uses the Heroic Strike spell, he rarely uses whirlwind to catch enemies and projectiles, and he doesn't know how to use the shield (pro tip: hold the trigger down!). He also doesn't get some basic concepts like "ice guys are weak against fire", or "gray health bars mean they're invincible", or "I should be casting spells like a wizard and not play the game like Samba De Amigo". Terrible and unjustified review.
