I'll wait until the PS3 releases before I consider buying anything else. If for some odd reason it turns out to be a worse choice, then by all means I'll buy an xbox. Revolution...let's just say it would take a lot of persuasion to get me to buy a Revolution.

But at his point in time, I see no reason to be losing faith in Sony. All this about "Sony lies" and "the PS3 is nothing but hype" was spewed before the PS2 launch as well, and it turned out to be by far my favorite console thig gen.

That would be about 2 or so. Drop the unreliability argument, it's bull and you know it.

You're trying to tell me that Metal Gear on a gameboy is better than Metal Gear on a full home console? Um, no. The scores are relative; the gameboy Metal Gear got a higher score because it's better than anything else on the gameboy, while on the console it isn't quite as good compared to otehr console games.

It has been stated that the contorller is meant to be played by using slight motions of the wrist, not swinging your arms around. In nay case, I still think it will be quirky and uncomfortable, and using it to play many games will feel forced and unintuitive. In the beginning, at least.

I'd much rather wait until PS3 comes out before considering if I want to buy an xbox.

I stand corrected. Regardless, I think as long as PS3 doesn't go beyond the 500 mark, it'll be fine. But you never know, they could choose to be competitive and lower the price. Or they could raise it...

Someone earlier mentioned that the SNES and NES cost around 400 when they released. I haven't bothered to check, but if this is true, then the PS3's $500 price tag shouldn't matter much at all. Just think about ti for a moment.

If the NES could succeed at 400 dollars (I'm guessing that's around 600 in today's currency), at a time when the gaming industry was in serious trouble, then I think the PS3 doesn't have anything to worry about at 500 dollars, when it has an established user base and is being released in a golden age of video games.
