Games are violent, games are sexists, most games are FPS's, most games have lame single-player campaign.... it's strange that, whenever a game tries to break these common rules, it rarely sells well, except if it's from a first-party publisher... must be pretty easy to say that when Tom himself is making one first-party TPS (oh-so-different!) with lame story and that focus on brutalities and gore and guns and blood and guts... make him work for Rareware and I bet my pants he will starve to death if he isn't making FPS's/TPS's.
I'm a big fan of the series, but I think Ascension is more of a fanservice than a new game so to say. I mean, GOW3 was awesome, had clever puzzles, bloody boss battles that waged on for up to half an hour and was a giant leap between the last game... but Ascension feels bland, like they tossed a bunch of enemies and bosses with some killing cutscenes. The graphics are a lot darker than needed, multiplayer looks awful, and I bet the campaign isn't as addictive as the previous games... either Sony fixes this in a possible next-gen GOW4, or the franchise will be quite dead in no time.
Well, I can't tell any *significant* difference between any of them, but it was smart of them to make so.... I mean, have anyone seen a Skyrim Graphics Comparison between consoles and PC? You saw the comments too? It's almost a warzone! At least here players can't complain about graphics and just complain about the game itself... because it's boring, nothing makes sense and I hope I never see another Dead Space game ever again (which unfortunately I will...)
So basically they're trying to say they're right and the fans' reviews are wrong? 10 and 1 reviews aside, It's not because they're not paid to give the game a review about his/her opinions that their points of view are distorted. And man, it's not a sequel, IT'S A REBOOT! Know the difference before talking!
One more argument to move to the Sony side. Keep that up while your sales are high, Micro$oft... it may not be like that for long... am I right, Sony, Nvidia and Steam?
and let the playstation owners cry.... don't you guys worry, best third-person shooter of 2013 will be Last of Us, so stop b****ing about Far Cry being better. Halo 4 is better than any of those games. Period. (and here I thought, from the thumbnail, that Borderlands 2 would win... silly me xP)
I'm not trying to demerit CryEngine's potential, but here's a fact everyone should know: console exclusives, with just a few exceptions, tend to have way better graphics than multiplatform games. Just see Uncharted, Gran Turismo and Last of Us on the PS3 side and Halo 4, Forza Horizon and Mass Effect 2 (hey, at the time it was xbox exclusive. Just almost a year later that the PS3 got its port.). Again, I'm not trying to nitpick who's best between these consoles, but the graphics of the games I said are way better than multiplatforms, even gorgeous-looking ones like Battlefield 3 and Hitman... and about PC, of course it'd be 2 levels beyond, you spend at least 5 times more building a cutting-edge PC in comparison of just buying a console and a game (y)
