Ok first I'M NOT HERE TO STAY XD
I found this old very old video and i wrote a blog on it few hours ago (posted on my private site ) still, i thought might just share it here well, leaving a trace to those of you newcomers to the site and maybe future members XD
Now some of you might remember this , it’s a 9-10 years old vid i created myself back on GamesSpot that earned me a badge on the site, i made it for fun of course i had no idea everyone was watching XD
Now before you go ahead and click play and in order to get the story (and the weird freaky names behind those skill attacks used in this video), you need to read this first!!
First off the word Avy stands for Avatar aka what you guys call today “User Profile” (makes me feel a bit old hehe) yes there were no groups or gaming communities on FB, YouTube or social media just gaming sites, Now to explain the names behind those attacks (the core of the joke anyways) you need to learn more about some of these characters.
Matastig: well that was me duh! an alien from Mars, who lost his way back home and ended up living on this stinky harsh little planet called earth! hehe
Skill used:
- Bean of Fire: An inside joke that goes 10 years back about someone who ate a lot of beans and got diarrhea lol
- Hack & Slap: Well Matastig (my online persona) is known for being like a bit too goofy(just a little bit =P ) , the original term is “hack & slash” of course, but the sound of a slap on the face during battle was…… funnier =P
Indzman: That was our friend form India, Hello @indzman XD
Skill Used:
- Tears of Love: Indzman was a very cool kind person(sorry about the past tense but we're leaving a legacy here =P ) and he was like a bit too hmm…..”romantic” and always like after pretty girls on the site and stuff, , so to him it was all about games, love and sad romantic poems =P
Cosita46/ Mayra: That was our amazing friend form Miami @cosita46 she didn’t use any skills during battle because she’s just like the sweetest kindest woman i have ever met online, she used that same Aerith pic as her Avatar for years and believe it or not but Mayra was Aeirth… to us at least, she’s like real life version of Aerith humble, pure and innocent. always there to help and support.
Now the villain of the story, my awesome dear friend Just-Adam
Just-Adam: Our laid back….more like lazy friend form Egypt! Just-Adam ..yeah hi there XD
Skill used:
- Toxic Breath & Fart of Death: Well not that he's got like a bad breath or he stinks or anything, it was actually inspired by his Avatar AND the fact he was too proud of being like super lazy and stuff, and if you watch cartoon lazy people usually burp and fart a lot lol
Evil Boy: Dr. Evil was one of Adam’s nicknames on the site XD
JodyR: Jody Robinson, GameSpot former and beautiful community manager, i'm not sure you still here, but here @JodyR
Skill used:
- Spam Filter: Jody used to run this community blog every week that highlights some of the site’s related news and updates, best user blogs, reviews and stuff like that, and it was called “Spam Filter”
The Time Machine: Another inside joke between me and Adam that’s lasted through the years, it started with me writing some editorial article about the evolution of video games and stuff, In that article i created a unique concept to tell the story in style. using that time machine controlled by some witch with a black hat and teeth to travel back and forth in time while telling the story. Adam wanted to borrow my Time Machine ...like so bad =P….i refused, he took it hard and promise to steal my imaginary Time Machine!! and here’s where the joke all started XD
This video was created just for the laughs, built form scratch using nothing but Jpg images and sound effects, where our Avys (profile pictures) acted like our characters ..it was hard to animate a flat profile picture, and i was a total noob, but it was a fun time and it worked out :)
